Is Uome really free?
Yes indeed! Our app is 100% free to use – no hidden fees. The platform has been built for both businesses and customers to use 😊
In our free version, your bank details will be displayed on invoices for your clients to pay manually. If you wish to get paid faster please see our Subscription option.
Please explain open banking?
The digital world of payments is evolving, open banking is a safe and secure way to process payments and data. It’s effective against fraud and allows you to get paid instantly.
Subscribing to this feature in Uome allows you to get 100% of your money, avoiding fees per transaction like on card payments.

There are no transaction fees for open banking payments
If you choose to enable card transactions, Stripe charges are:
- 20p + 1.5% for standard UK cards
- 20p + 1.9% for premium UK cards
- 20p + 2.5% for European Economic Area cards
- 20p + 3.25% for all other cards
Web checkout links for e.g. emails, scan to pay, e-commerce is 2% + 20p.
If you want to offer credit to your customers for your services through Klarna the fee is 5% + 35p.
If you are not subscribed, an additional 0.19% will be applied.

Can I use instant transfers and card payments?
Of course! Subscribing allows you to get paid via account-to-account transfers and receive your money instantly, avoiding transaction fees.
Accepting card and offering credit can be enabled alongside instant transfers.
Please note that card and credit transactions will still incur the same costs as our pay as you go model. You can switch card/finance payment options on/off at anytime.
